BBC Sports Personality of the Year Lifetime Achievement Award - The BBC Sports Personality of the Year Lifetime Achievement Award is given on an annual basis to a sportsperson who has made a long-running and considerable contribution to sport. The award was first given in 2001 to football manager Alex Ferguson, and subsequent winners have been:

David Davies (football administrator) - David Davies is the current head of the English Football Association. David previously worked as sports correspondent for BBC Midlands Today.

BBC Sports Personality of the Year Helen Rollason Award - The BBC Sports Personality of the Year Helen Rollason Award is given to a British sportsperson on an annual basis for 'outstanding courage and achievement in the face of adversity'. Named after the BBC sports presenter Helen Rollason, who died at the age of 43 after a brave battle against cancer, the award was first given in 1999 to Jenny Pitman, a survivor of thyroid cancer.

BBC Football Club - BBC Football Club was founded in 1925 as a weekend activity for members of staff of the BBC. The club played their home matches for many years until 2003 at Motspur Park, Surrey until the BBC sold the land to Ben Dunne.
